Thinking Globally, Acting Locally
On Friday, November 13th, Ventura Charter School, with support from the City of Ventura, will be having its Second Annual Trash-a-Thon. The students in kindergarten through eighth grade will be going out into the community and will be picking up trash. In return, they are asking for your support through a monetary donation .The donations collected will go towards expanding and supporting our outdoor education and art in and out of the classroom that we strive to provide. Last year’s event was a huge success. The students worked hard and enjoyed participating in this wonderful community service project. Some even requested that they go out every month to clean up litter, which we hope will happen. In addition, the event rose over $15,000 for school enrichment programs. We received donations from as far away as Sweden, New Zealand, and Canada, as well as from coast to coast in the United States. Thank you to everyone who supported this event.
