School Description

Ventura Charter School of Arts and Global Education is a tuition-free public school serving over 440 students from Kindergarten through Eighth grade. VCS is an EL Education Network school (https://eleducation.org/who-we-are/our-approach) and has a strong culture of adult learning and a commitment to being a professional learning community. The EL Education model supports leaders to demonstrate a growth mindset and a commitment to continuous professional learning in themselves and all faculty members with a strong focus on equity and social justice. School leaders build capacity in teachers in order to improve student achievement, and to sustain teacher commitment motivation, retention, and performance.
